Polperro, with its narrow lanes, transports you to a time before cars, as the lanes are so narrow a peaceful stroll to one of the harbour side pubs feels like a trip back in time. Looe is perfectly situated to explore East Cornwall, and a short drive north will bring you to Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, home to the Jamaica Inn. There are many National Trust houses and gardens nearby, including Lanhydrock House and Mount Edgcombe Estate, where you can catch a ferry from the charming village of Cremyll, across the River Tamar to Plymouth and visit the historic seafaring city. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are easily reached. Kayaking, sailing, golf, horse riding and cycling all available locally. Beach ¾ mile.
